Description
What better way to gain great life skills, while having fun? Be a Counselor-in Training! This program is designed for campers interested in becoming future Counselors. CITs engage in fun activities like camp songs, games and crafts, and assist camp counselors with day to day activities including looking after the safety of campers.
New to this year, on Thursdays (except for 7/16), CITs will visit Camp Sky Lil’ Pines and assist staff with camp songs, games, crafts and more with our beginner campers! This program is a fantastic opportunity to build essential leadership skills and enhance problem-solving abilities. Maximum 18 spots available for each week/session.
Field trips only for CITs will be held on Tuesdays and will attend Wednesday Field Trips with Grades 1-6 (unless otherwise noted).
Have some fun and catch a movie under the stars! New, this summer are our Camp Skylandia Movie Nights aka “Parents’ Night Out” evenings and are scheduled for Thursday July 9 and Thursday July 30 (Sessions C & F). These evenings are in lieu of our past camp overnights and are optional for Pinecones (aka Kinders), grades 1-6, and CITs. Our Camp Movie Nights will be held at Skylandia Beach 7:00pm to 10:00pm. There is NO CAMP on the Fridays after the Movie Nights/ “Parents’ Night Out” (Friday July 10 and Friday July 31).
To ensure a great camp experience for all, recurring and or excessive behavioral challenges may result in suspension or expulsion from camp.
Please pack these important items for your child every day:
- Sack Lunch and Snacks
- Water Bottle (Children must have their own refillable water bottle)
- Sunscreen
- Closed-toe Shoes
- Water Shoes for the Beach
- Bathing Suit and Towel
To alleviate a massive collection in our Lost & Found items, it is highly encouraged to write your camper's name on all the gear they bring to camp. Lost and Found items may not be saved after week’s end.
