Summer Art Camp with Sona Knox
The TCPUD Parks & Recreation's Summer Online Registration opens Tuesday, May 5th, 2026 at 10am for TCPUD Service Area Residents and 12pm for Non-Residents.
Description
Practice drawing, painting and more outdoors in Lake Tahoe with instructor Sona Knox. In session 1, Sona will teach painting and drawing this summer in beautiful Skylandia Park & Beach and create a mural with their artwork! In sessions 2 and 3, students can explore various mediums-clay, glazing, paper, pencil, pastels and paint- while being inspired by unique and beautiful Lake Tahoe animals. They will sculpt animals from clay, and make clay lidded jars on Monday at
the Tahoe City Community Center (TCCC) and return on Thursday to glaze their pieces. On Tues and Wed please bring your art campers to Commons Beach under the big tree across from the playground where they will paint and draw using easels, boards and paper. Supplies will be provided but students will need to bring a water bottle, hat, sunblock and a snack.
Classes will be limited to 10 artists per session so sign up quickly.
